Brooklyn Bred extends its condolences to family of fellow Brooklynite and Pizzaiolo, Louis Barbati, family owner of L&B Spumoni Gardens, Brooklyn.
Says David Mafoud, 3rd Generation Baker, Brooklyn Bred: “As long as I can remember, Spumoni Gardens- along with Totono’s and Patsy’s- were the ICONIC pizzerias of Brooklyn. What made Spumoni Gardens especially a favorite to many was its location near a lot of the Brooklyn night clubs, so there was always that late night slice or two after a night of cruising the streets. RIP”
